Currency will work in a number of situations.  I've seen a lot of good ones out of him, male & female.  If you're looking for a pure steer make, I'd look at Crossfire.  I've only seen a few but they're stout.

It seems normal to buy a breeding female based on her genetics and phenotype. After all, that is essentially what anyone is doing when they buy a heifer.  I'm guessing you didn't spend a big wad of money on her since she was 6 years old and hadn't seen any of her prior offspring. If I owned her...
