I think your steer looks really nice. I also think he will improve in his butt and flank as he gains weight. In this area when the heat rises, weight gets harder to put on.  It's much easier to shrink than to want more weight at the end. Good Luck.

I would highly recommend if you have a cow with a uterine prolapse to be very carefull. When the uterus hangs out it can put a lot of pressure on the uterine artery. Last year most were $3000 for 60 days, $1500 to reserve and $1500 when picked up. The clones and top bulls were $3000 for 30 days. As for the number of cows, just handle it like you would with your own bulls.

I had a similar simmy cow that I used Chore Boy on with good results.  Lots of power, think he might do what you want.  I have two Chore Boy calves, one steer and one heifer, both about 900 lbs and look like they will be very competitive.

Have the heifers been with the cows all the time?  How are you feeding them, bale feeder, bunk, spread on ground in row?  We think sometimes they get bashed by another cow that sets them off.  Make sure they have plenty of room to eat.  Hopefully it's just bad luck, but check vaccines given and...
