Started Monday out with finding my shorthorn heifer that was due in May dead. No idea what happened to her. Then Tuesday my rwf hereford/angus cow bred to Headliner  had been holding her tail up for about a week and wasn't due till the 9th and she was pushing out some of her insides so I called the vet and we blocked her tail to get her to quit pushing since she didn't have enough milk in her bag yet to feed a calf. Vet was out to look at her Thursday and thought we should induce her as she was just getting bigger.

Checked her about 9:30 am and nothing was happening and went back down to feed hay for the weekend and there THEY were. A solid red heifer and a solid black bull calf sucking away. I don't think she has enough milk to feed them so I gave them each half a dose of colostrum replacer and just will have to keep an eye on them. I will get pics asap.

They heifer is thick  and has great hair. Bull calf about the same cept with less bone. Heifer pry weight 65-70 and bull 60-65. 2nd calf cow. I just can't belive I have only gotten 1 out of 6 calves she has had with any crome! (I flushed her as an open heifer)
