A little help on raising calves over the winter months???

I am getting a couple calves and my deadline to have them on my farm for 4-h is january 1st i think. anyways we are working on getting electricity to the barn but we do not have water and my parents arnt planning on putting in any until mabye next spring or summer.  any sugg. on what i will need to make going through the winter easier.

  You'll be fine. Determination, a couple of buckets,  and a strong back. hope that you have a hydrant close by to carry from. When I was a kid, we used to have to carry water for our calves. It will work until you can get a better system in. Good luckRemember that water is your cheapest ingredient & the most important.

Are you lucky enough to be in a part of the country where the winter is semi mild? You could then use a couple of hoses.
