Im heading out to our PA Beef Expo this Friday. Anyone have any advice on grooming? Ive seen people mention shaving cream on here a few times for fitting hair, how do u go about doing it? Also has anybody here ever used toothpaste to whiten hair? Oh and one more question how advance before my class should I wash my steer and start fitting him? Lol sorry for all the questions....I am soo excited. Any other tips and advice are more than welcomed (clapping) I hope to have pics for yall to see on Monday, I know how ya'll all love pics here

how long do you think you need to fit your steer? it all depends on how well its hair is trained. i ussually take 45 min for each steer after i have preps him and gone over his legs with a plastic scrub brush to help the hair pop. for shaving cream, i use sullivans styling mouse which is basicly the same thing. it add plenty of volume to the hair. i spray it on then comb it in and then use one motor on the blower and blow it straight in. then i blow the hair the way i want it to go from a distance. after that i spray sullivans pink oil in with the blower, comb it and keep blowing to give the hair as much volume as i can
