How do you find out what licences you need for your state regarding AI'ing and pregnancy tests?

Usually you get in a bind by advertising, the vets get hot when you start promoting "professional services" such as preg checking. Most places where I've worked, you are ok working by word of mouth, and charge for labor, not preg checking. The people you work for will be ok, unless you miss 90 percent of the pregnancies.

You can call your state vet board, or dept of ag or you can just start doing it and see what happens.

Some states may be different... I don't know of any requirements in order to AI or preg check cows in the state where I live. In fact, I'm pretty sure nothing IS required. But you should be qualified. Training & experience is all you need. I guess some places might require certification in order to practice commercially, but I'm not even sure about that. You definitely shouldn't need a vet degree.
