Cattle.com Bull Buzz Index #7 Sire
Cattle.com Consensus:
“The ultimate replacement female sire.
If he's not the top maternal sire of all time in the club calf business, he's certainly right there with only a handful of other bulls. His daughters demand high dollars wherever they are sold.”

Cattle.com Consensus:
Cattle.com Bull Buzz Index #28 Sire

General Consensus: One of the original “Clubby Bulls”

I voted for Meyer.  I love both, but Meyer cattle probably work a little better (at least perception wise) from commercial standpoint just because he's a Simi.

i can't believe heatwave didn't beat cunia

The fact that Cunia beat Heatwave should have been expected. Heatwave is a great Terminal Show sire. I  believe Cunia has and will have a more lasting influence. I wish Cunia and Meyer had been the final two. IMHO.

I agree with olsum.  These two bulls have had a far greater impact of cattle than the others.  I do not know where the industry would be without them.

Cunia has faults with the monkey mouth, but he downsized the breed from cow killers and his disposition he past on in unbelievable.

Meyers is a cross breed treated like a fullblood.  He too downsized his breed too from the fullbloods I saw.  While I lived in Kansas I saw KASU sell an AI Simmental bull that weighed 3600 at age 18.  They said he was one of the first in the USA and that was back in 1982.  His feet were so large and he could barely walk.
