Calf with a frozen ear

Had a calf that froze an ear this weekend after I tagged him. My question is I got its ear warmed up as quick as possible and it has been warm since. My question is, is it just a matter of a time before it falls off or will it be normal?

is any part of the frozen ear more swollen than the rest of the ear?  If so, that part will fall off eventually.  If not it should be ok.

I haven't really felt the whole ear lately but the tip feels a little swollen. I duct taped an old sweatshirt sleeve on its head while it's been cold the last few nights

 

[HAB]

will probably lose the tip then.
