have many if any cattle shows being cancelled due to the weak economy in your area ?

No. All about the same maybe fewer kids that show both a heifer and a steer- some just bring one or the other

I don't believe that any of the Iowa Junior Beef Breeds Association shows were cancelled but the numbers were generally down at all of them....probably had a lot to do with economy.

just look at the TJLA points races on the internet hardly anyone even signed up for the breeds. i dunno if its the 100 degree heat but i know a show in madisonville last weekend had under 20 head total. couple of years ago there would have been 80 head there at least.

Yea!! the Buckle numbers were way down.  300 head was the number going around the barn.  In general the numbers in Texas have declined but some of the bigger jack pots still bring in the numbers.  Close to 200 in New Braunfels, well over 200 in Seguin, and they are expecting close to 150 this weekend in Refugio.  That being said, I can think of three or four shows in our region that have gone away the last couple years.  Beeviile, Alice, and Raymondville to name a few...
