OK I cann't find info this evening on this topic online.  Maybe you all can help me.  I'm looking at a little fall Chi. heifer for my soon to be 7 year old.  We are going to Jr. Nationals with maines and thought a little chi might be nice for him, plus he wouldn't compete with his sister.

Does the chi's have a lower age requirement for Jr. Nationals this year or have they decided to go with the Maine Anjou rules?  This rule will help me decide if I purchase a chi or not.

I honestly think if we are showing in a combined show, the rules should be the same, but that's just me.

talk to Jill. I know they had an issue w/ the age limit last year. I agree the requirements should be the same.

I belive in the past the lower age limit has been 7, don't hold me to that.  To make sure give Heather Counts at the ACA a call (816) 431-2808.

They told me they adopted that rule a couple years ago due to kids being to small to control the animals.  I told them they should have these rules somewhere on there website because most cattle are bought or being bought for summer right now.  I would have been in a world of hurt if I would have bought Evan that calf and it ended up he couldn't show it.
