I have a commercial heifer calf that is three months old. We noticed when she was born that she was not keeping up with mama, and not walking very much at all. We finally brought her up from the pasture and put her under the barn out of the weather, which now has been about two months. The only time she stands is when mama comes to feed her.
The joints in the back legs stay swollen and now when she stands to eat, her front legs are wobbly and very unsteady. We have never had this situation, and the vets have no clue. She has been medicated, but nothing has helped.
I was wondering if anyone might know what this could be and also do you think any of the joint supplements on the market may help?
