My commercial show heifer was just bred to Connealy In Focus. We wanted the purebred angus for calving ease and his EPDs are good. If you guys have any calf pics that would be great. And if anyone could tell me stuff about him and the calves he produces (i.e. Depth, bone, thickness of quarter) that would be nice. My heifer is very thick quartered, sound, pretty deep, and somewhat femine. I'm looking to add some bone, a little squareness, and a bit more angus style. Thank you! : <cowboy>

Is it 4925 ur asking about?...I think there is more than one In Focus son with the Connealy prefix. 4925 is signed with Accelerated Genetics, and I really like the looks of that bull as well as his EPD package. He's on my list of potential Angus Sires to use on Simmental cows to make some SimAngus in our program. I think there's another Connealy In Focus (different ID #) available through either Genex or ABS maybe?...

You won't find many calving ease Angus bulls that will add substance of bone, but I agree that bull DOES appear to be heavier boned & bigger footed than a lot of Angus bulls. I haven't seen any calves & i don't know anybody who has used him, but i really like the bull in his picture. I expect those calves would be sound structured with plenty of middle, adequate muscle & bone, and a decent look as far as style & balance. I'm very tempted to use him this fall & next spring on SOMEthing...
