Cooking corn in large quanities

I have been cooking corn in a crock pot for just one to two head of cattle.  I am wanting to do more in one batch than what i am currently.  I dont really have a larger roaster or larger crock pot right now.  But my theory is to use a large pot like for a turkey fryer over a gas burner.  Has anyone else tried this method.  If so at what temp do you cook at and for how long for this method.  Thanks.
