Does anyone leave there calves in the cooler 24/7 except for walking and washing? What would be the downside or any problems? With the heat here in SE OK, it's still 90 at 10:00 at night and the humidity is extreme.

You'll end up with a stiff stale calf that looks like its ready to die at the fair. They need time outside to stretch. It's worse on them to take them out for a little bit then back in. They have to have time to adapt.
When we kick out our calves they can still get in a portion of our barn if they choose so. In the area we have hung a couple of fans so they can lay there if they want or do whatever. I agree that if they don't have kickout time they will get stiff.
