Depth charge and Heifers?

What is everyone's thought's on using it on heifers?  We used it last year, didn't have any trouble getting her bred with our show heifer.  But been hearing not to use it this year, it puts too much fat around tail heads, and does something to their teets.  Just asking, I don't want any troubles, it was hard enough this year getting my cows bred!!

Was thinking about using it on a heifer this year as well and would like to know.  Can anyone help?
