Fitting bulls vs. steers

Going to be showing bulls and a heifer for the first time in the upcoming season.
I'm wondering if there is anything you do when fitting steers that you wouldn't do when fitting a bull or vice versa? How about with Heifers?

I was wondering also. Do you shave a bulls head about 3 weeks before the show. And then just trim long hairs on neck and bellie?
