Has anyone else seen where Lautner is promoting this bull? Full brother to 2011 Arizona steer and 2012 fort worth steer. Anyone seen him in person? How does he compare to each of his siblings? Better? Worse?

I plan on breeding some cows to this bull without seeing a picture of him for one reason. A TH and PHA FREE Heat Wave Son!!!!!!! Thats enough for me, and the steer that won Ft. Worth was awesome.

Without seeing him how will you decide what cows to breed to him?  I really liked the pics of the Ft. Worth and the Arizona steers, but they appeared to be different in their type.  Just wondering what a defect free sibling will look like.

Heatwave was pretty plain looking too... Guess its the genetics that make the difference in the outcome..

Im not 1 to knock any1s cattle, and im sure she'll prob bring more than all my cows combined is worth, but she looks very common to me. She has a nice big rib in her but other than that......... How do you know those were carriers?

I didn't mean they were carriers, just wanted to point out that it's hard to make breeding decisions sight unseen.  I sometimes type like people can read my mind! (lol)

Lol Point Taken came out and Monopoly came out. Point Taken is wide as a truck, and Monopoly isn't. Though Monopoly is now a legend. They all go back to Heat Seeker. Now there is one that can throw Heat Wave power on dirty cows? I dont care what he looks like. Sometimes things are just spelled out for you... With HeatWave, he should throw Hair. I dont care if they do look different, both steers won major shows. SSomething must be right

I agree, I like both steers.  Just wondering how you would know to use him on small, moderate or tall cows, etc.

sounds interesting, if he looks anything like cuatros ft worth calf i will for sure breed quite a few to him!... he was a different type of calf that we dont see often, called a legitimate beast (yes we were stalled by him in ft worth) <beer>

You'd probably use him just like you would Solid Gold.  I like having alternatives to Milk Man.

I think the point frostback was trying to make is that being a full sib doesn't mean he will be anything like either of the winning steers.  I'm more familiar with Shorthorn bloodlines, but have seen flushmates with a 1 1/2 frame score difference with similar recips.

I have to say I would have to wait to see what he looks like, I mean the color patterns are no where near the same on either of the two steers. But I find it very intriguing that they have already collected him and we are just now hearing about him and have yet to see a picture.

I think he is Brandon Horn's bull.  He aint putting him out there if he isnt good.  Lots of reasons for not having the perfect picture yet.

There was a post on both Lautner's and I'm 99% sure there was a post on matt's blog to about ownership...
