So I have a Herf/Angus brockle faced cow three days overdue with a Walks Alone calf.  It is raining / sleeting here and kind of miserable.  I had to be out of town for work so I asked my neighbor (a retired cowman) who does day work for us sometimes to see if he would check on her a couple times today.
First check nothing.  Two hours later he called to tell me she had a little heifer calf running circles around her, bucking and kicking already.  I said great, what color is she.  He said she was red with a brokle face.  I thought that was funny because I would have bet the calf would have been black.  After I hung up I thought again and remembered my daughter just took on a heifer twin out of a first calf heifer the other day.  I called my wife and asked what color the bottle baby was?  Sure enough it was her.  She escaped out of her make shift pen and found her way to the pasture.  She was all wet from the rain and the cows was laying down.  My friend just assumed it was her's.

So still no calf.  I'm getting a little nervous.
