So the other day, I was out feeding and a neighbor drove by and then turned around and came back.  A lady named Roberta got out of her vehicle and I asked if I could help her.  She then looked at my horses and then turned and looked at my neighbors horses and then back at mine.  She then said, "Huh, there are two red horses with a white face!"  (My wife and I have one horse that is sorrel with a blaze face and so does our neighbors.)  She then said, "I was worried all night last night because I drove by and saw a red horse with a white face in with your horses and then drove by later and it was in with the other horses."  This whole time I was trying to keep a straight face.  She then tells me that she has horses in her bloodline.  I asked in your bloodline and she said, "Yes literally in my bloodline!"  I was thinking now how does that work.  She told me that she was from the west coast and if she had to put hay in a truck or ride in snow then she couldn't have horses but they are in her bloodline.  I started talking to her about our cows and how we are trying to raise good show steers and heifers.  She then tells me that a family that she goes to church with had Herefords and (seriously I quote) she said, "Can you believe they actually use their horses and push their cows up the side of a mountain and then turn around in the fall and use there horses to bring their cows home.  Wow those people are rugged and crazy!"

I hope you all enjoy my story.  Its true you can't pick your neighbors.
