I got a steer that weighs 750 lbs. and his flank is getting higher and higher what do I do? Do you have any suggestions? I have to get it down he's a heck of a steer but the high flank is making him look bad from show side.

Someone told me that if I gave him free choice hay and add a little oil to his feed it would bring it down some do you guys think it would?

Those are probably good suggestions, I don't know, but I think getting the steer fat is the only sure way to drop his flank.  Isn't that what a low flank suggests?  That the animal is adequately finished or at least able to lay down fat cover properly.
