if you have microsoft office picture manager, open the file in this program, go to edit pictures, resize, under predefined width x height select web large (640x480), save

You can get this batch editer/resizer for free from http://www.fookes.com . It is called Easy Thumbnails, and its what I use. Easy to use and you can resize any # of photos.
