Any results from the IA beef expo sales.  I'm wondering about the Angus and Maine sales that were today, the website isn't updated yet.

Who had the good ones, what did they sell for, and where did they go?

In the Maines, the Money Man's did very well!!

Congratulations Gidget!!!  Funk's Mucho Dinero was the  Reserve Champion bull and sold for $4400 to a buyer in NE Iowa.  Braun's Big Money Bob was the Overall Champion bull and sold for $4,000 to a Missouri buyer.  Both are out of Money Man and both are very good bulls.  Interesting that they switched states with one another.

Top selling bull was Vander Linden's Mr GoGetter(Ground Zero son) at $4600. Other notable bulls were Lot 7(really, really thick Jazz son) $2900,
Lot 17(Witch Doctor)$3400, Lot 33(Hard Core)$4500, and Lot 35(Cowans's Ali)$3400.

Very nice set of bulls and well presented!!

We had a great experience at Expo.  Black Jack was named champion Chi bull and sold to Brad Fassett in CO, Our red bull was class winner and 4th to sell and went to Eastern IA.  Got to meet the Funks, learned alot and had a great time .  Pic is of Jack. in the stall after being named Champion Bull.

I was with Benedict Herefords, we had the biggest string in the Herf aisle.  I'm sure you saw me, a 6 foot curly headed dude who looked lost most likey! Haha..hope you had fun at the sale, our cattle sold pretty well.  I talked to Gidget and saw Mucho, he's looking amazing, and he's got a good attitude on top of that!

Yeah, he has some fantastic hair.  Like I told you, we bred a ShorthornPlus heifer to Money Man to calve this spring, and then went and sold the heifer.  I hope to see how that calf looks.  If it's as good as I think it could be, we may try to buy it back.  Money Man was one of two Maine bulls that dad agreed to using, and I imagine he would like Mucho even more!
