I am  going  to  look  at  buying a  couple  cows  to  try  and  raise  some  nice  calves.  what  are  the  traits  that  everyone  looks  at  when  buying a  cow  for calving some club calves?  What  are  the  differences between cow A  and cow B? Just  adding  for  some  insight  on  what  to  look  for  when  walking  thru a  pasture  and  looking  at  them.
thanks

I know this is basic but I would really focus on structure when buying your cows you can always add muscle later.

Look for big topped, big middled, sound moving, big footed, nice uddered, and pretty made females.

If you are looking at producing clubbies start with a Purebred or true F1 female. Then go with the cross, clubby bull. I wouldn't start with a clubby bred cow or heifer and then use more clubby on her. Or start with a clubby female and go with a purebred bull. Less structural problems that way.
