Michigan state fair

Last year there was talk about having a show at the at the Pontiac Silverdome that would take the place the Michigan state fair that hasn't occurred in a few years. I believe there was even a website for the show but than nothing happened. Than I heard there is going to be show again this year whether its at the Silverdome or not I don't know. Has anyone else heard about this and is there a website to look at?

From what I can find they held the Great Lakes Agricultural Fair last year, minus any agriculture. It was a carnival. They said that this year they would add the ag part but their website has been removed. Must have joined the state fair (gone).

I found out this weekend that the name has been changed to the Great Lakes State Fair. It is being held in Novi Aug 31 - Sep 3. From what is says only breeding stock will be shown. Website is www,GreatLakesStateFair.org. Hope this helps.
