I hope someone out there can point in right direction to solve my problem.  Roughly five years ago i bought a heifer from Jackson Mill in West Virginia.  At that time i was about sixteen and didn't have the best record keeping.  Somehow the paperwork from the sale that had all her sire and dam info on it got thrown away.  Is there any way that you can get a DNA test done to find out her sire.  Or if anyone knows of any other options that would help me find out her pedigree, I would really appreciate it.  Thanks.

Was she registered?  Online pedigree search if you know the prefix

First step would be contact the breeder, most keep good records.

No she is not registered.  I don't even know who was the breeder.  Any other options out there to try.

You know where you bought her from?

I guess at this point in time, what's it matter?  She's obviously worked for you, and therefore you should build around her.

I'd be willing to bet that any pedigree you might, or don't know about her- will be just as accurate as most of hte pedigrees being advertised and promoted...
