Need some simmi advice

I have a pb simmi, hustler heifer out if a good cow. Shes got a great look to her, and floats on air. My problem is, shes not growing worth a lick, shes thick enough, just to small. Her dam has a great frame and ample milk raising her, plus shes gotten grain since day one. Im frustrated, shes been a suprime champion twice because of her balence, but ever judge has wanted to see more frame to her. I want to keep her around, but she has to start growing...help

I have 2 ACC1 Hustler heifers & one of the things that I love about them is that for being 1/2 SM they are moderate framed cattle and are put together correctly. I can't wait to see what they will do as cows.

Diamond -- sounds like you have a pretty good problem in my mind.... she is still growing,may be small, but has been used for supreme twice... to me she has to be pretty dang good to get around some of the bigger, more mature cattle she might have been up against... Simple solution to the problem is find a bull to breed her to that has a little more frame. There are plenty out there and plenty of simmental to use too.

CAB - i agree 100%, we have used quite a few Goldmines in the past and built a nice sub- group of females in my herd with  some  goldmines out of a  GW bodybuilder son and vice versus.. now breeding them to OCC Magnitude for absolutely beautiful calves... 5.5 frame, super easy keeping, decent milk and growth and can breed them to dang near to anything.
