I kind of lurk on here, but I don't post a lot. Anyways, I bought a Monopoly x Strictly Business steer yesterday at the Purple Passion sale. His full sib started off the sale and made $3800, and full sib at another sale brought $1750. I paid a little inbetween those two, so prices were definitely consistent. I'm definitely very happy with my buy. I will post pictures later for sure! I will be showing him at the Winter Beef Classic at Michigan State University, the summer show down there, and possibly a spring show around here, as well as at the county fair in August. We were thinking about NAILE, but entries are due tomorrow so the sale and entry time didnt give us a lot of decision time. Anyways, I was just wondering what everyone's take on certain wood chips are, and fans. He will be inside all day with fans in a 12 x 12 area, and out at night in pasture. I bought red cedar mixed with regular shavings to keep him on during the day. And I have big standing barn fans, but wouldn't mind investing in a nice mister fan. Thanks in advance!
