What do you think of these bulls?  What do they work on, what do they add/take away, etc?  Thanks.

Have only used Hairy, had nice small calves all out of cows, 80 pound range. Use him on a cow with red or black color, had gray calves out of charlolais cows. He does add hair to his calves but look for a good percent of the power to come from the cow to. In my mind he is not a cow changer but just hairs up really complete correct calves with style. Keep in mind these calves have a lot of growing to do yet. JMO :)

There is both positive and negatives on all of those bulls. On this "site" you would wonder why anyone would use anything but Gigelo Joe. Only this year and not in years past, all you seem to hear about Sunseeker,is bad front ends. Have never used Hairy, but after a few years of no complaints, now I hear that it takes a powerful cow for him to work. Dirty Harry has been scrutinized heavily on whether he is really a calving ease bull.We have had good results with all of these bulls except for HAIRY,which he hasn't been used. Comparing these bulls to one another is really like comparing baseball players of today with the greats of yesteryear. Every one of these bulls has a place in the industry.

Have to agree with TMJ on this one, you have a list of bulls that all do different things well, but they have vastly different uses.  Off of that list I have only used Joe and I think he has a place in a Maine breeding program, he is also a calving ease bull, but if you are looking for clubby steers he's probably not what you are looking for, same could be said of Sunseeker, if you're looking for clubby steers he is the one I would want, but he has no place in a Maine breeding program.
What are you looking for, what are you breeding for and that will help answer what these bulls will do for you.

These 5 I am mainly just looking into what they work well on for a later point.  I like these bulls and have seen a lot of calves that I like by them.  I am still looking for one that will clean up the front and add a little volume to one if you have any suggestions.

Does he need to be bred to really deep bodied cows?  Does he clean up the front or does he need a clean fronted cow?  Does he downsize or do his calves just come small with a lot of growth to them?  Anything you could tell me would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dusty M.

Joe will usually add depth and hair, thick hair!  O0  calves come easy and grow, he's moderate necked not best in world but FAR from worst, better than sunseeker IMO, he's avg size, the right size in my mind, he wont downsize too much i dont think... I like him for heifers and as stated above he has his place if you want a mile wide square steer he isnt the choice but if you want a heck of a female to return to your herd , he will do that job
Good luck
Andrew

P.S. Juli could better answer this question

Search on Joe calves, I have posted some and Justme has also posted some, I posted mine with the cows so you can see the mating.
I sure can't answer for anyone else, but in our calves he isn't a cow changer, he passed on the same color pattern as the cow and they came in all different sizes.  The 4 we had were all plenty deep and clean fronted, I think he is as deep of a Maine bull as you will find, but like I stated he is a Maine breeding bull, he is going to through you breed type animals and if that's what you're looking for I think he does it as well as any Maine bull in the breed.

We really like our Hairy calves.
Havent had a ton (about 5) but we have never had or seen a bad one. At the same time i have never seen one our of him that blows you away.  He adds a ton of style and hair. But you probably need to breed him to stouter wider based cows. We are showing a Hairy steer right now that is doing well and one of this years best calves is out of Hariy
