What's your Waukaru cow out of?  I'd try Vegas, Notorious, or Buddy Love on the Angus.

We've had some cows bred that way, and we usually used Waukaru bulls back on them to make some replacement heifers.  Goldmine 2109 had the best calves for us, and we even kept a son of his for a herd bull.  That was a few years ago though. Now I'd probably breed her to Perfect Timing (full sib to X Ray).  I'm guessing she has plenty of rib and depth, but could use more hair, bone, and muscle?  I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but Jake's Proud Jazz can work really well on cows like that, as long as they are really sound in their shoulder/front end.

the best calf we have had out of the shorthorn is a cross heifer sired by dirty harry. and last year another heifer out of ice chest, so i believe that we will continue to cross her so looking for a bull in that order
