question about a heifer

my daughter show hiefer had a mild case of pink eye about 10 or 14 days ago i notice that there is a knot about the size of a golf ball on her neck where i gave the shot at what can i do thank you

the knot on the neck, it happens, just wait it out is what we do. i dont have anything besides that. thats why i dont like a bunch of shots on calves, but what do you do....

If it is on the show side and is obvious and you are "possessed" to do something you can "hot pack" it a couple of times a day or "hydrotherapy" - which would basically be warm water to the area a couple of times a day.

Most of the time these knots are the result of tissue inflammation and will go away on their own..it isn't something you did, it's just cattle reaction to the medicine
