Does anyone have cattle out of him? Used him? Like him? Hate him?  Any information would be very helpful!

Thanks

I do not personally have any out of him, but I have seen several calves sired by him in my travels. They look to be very good cattle that are phenotypically very good with performance. Cattle Nut on here owns him and has sold a few limited semen packages on him. Send him a PM and I'm sure he can fill you in with more details. There are a couple of heifer calves sired by him selling in the Iowa Beef Expo in a couple of weeks as well as an embryo package. I always liked his sire "Atlantic" from the Pieper herd in NE. RCR

Thanks for the information, I know where we both stand on epd's but I have to ask how much weight you put into CEM.  I seem to have more luck relying on that then the CED.  It's only a tool but like in the case of Cherokee canyon it was very realistic as it related to pelvis size and not just the shape his daughters would put into the calf.  That seems to be my only mental block to the above mentioned bull.

I tend to also put a little more faith in the CEM and believe there is a direct link to pelvic size and shape. While I doubt that there will be many 65# calves sired by Cash, I don't think there will be many calving issues using him either. The calves that I have seen out of him are made "right" so to speak. If your cows can have a 85# calf unassisted, I don't see a problem with Cash. RCR
