Just wanting to let people know that there will be a Selcet Showcase Simmental Sale. On Saturday September 19 2009 at 1:00 pm. At the Kirkwood Community College Tippie Beef Center Ceder Rapids Iowa. Featuring 60 lots of registered simmental & club calf cattle. Cattle are available for viewing at the sale site starting Friday September 18th. Sale is Managed by Dwyer Cattle Services. If anybody is going with cattle please let me know because we might be looking for cattle at the sale. Thanks.    (cow)

This sale isn't bad, but I will tell you that if you are looking for Simmy heifers in Iowa that you should also hit the Hawkeye Simmental sale and the North Central sale.  There are far more heifers competing at the National level coming out of those sales then the one you are going to.  With Junior Nationals in Iowa in 2010, I'm guessing all of these Simmy sales are going to be a popular place to be and prices will probably favor the sellers.    At any rate, I'm excited for the sale season to start.  It's a great time of year.
