Sooner bull

I am wondering who sells semen on the sooner bull. I have been having trouble finding some. Also what type of cow is he working on? My plan is to flush my Irish whiskey donor to get some females out that mating. Thanks

its hard to get, it used to be the Sooner owners only, Id call Bushy Park and ask Steve, if he will sell you some

this should be common sense to most pepole who've seen sooner calves, but if the cow has even the slightest dip in her back, or is tight behind her shoulder area DO NOT USE HIM jmo .... if the cow has a really strong top go for it and you will probably get some good calves!   with that said good luck!  (cow)

isn't that a fault with a few high% maine bulls, especially cunia based ones?

Keep in mind that the bull is only half of the genetics, the bull isn't always at fault

it's probably 1/3 cow, 1/3 bull, 1/3 human and the human is more at fault than either one of the cattle.

[/quote] yes that is true, i think sooner is the one that is most used tho so you see it alot more in his calves, out of all the sooner calves ive seen only 3-5 have had a good top and a clean neck, on the postive side his calves are sound, soft made, deep bodied, and relativley thick. the one my freind bought from nowatzkes in michigan city was the thickest hiefer ive ever seen out of sooner, but, she had a bad back and neck, bred her to ali this spring cant wait to see the calf!  ;D

seen wisdom only confirmed my opinion on there tops other than that he was very impressive. he had a twist in his front feet tho thts the only thing i noticed
