Is there any real trick to doing this? I have a rice pelvrimeter sp?. I asked the local vet and they don't do it but would palpate by hand and see what he thought. For what I know you measure height and width and multiply them together to get area. I live in Wisconsin and most vets in our area do mostly dairy so some beef practices aren't done such as this and bull semen testing.

breed them to the Maine-Anjou bull 'J D', the polled fullsib to Stout and you will find out if you have big enough pelvises or not. ;D
