I just bought my calf the other day and brought him home last weekend. He is a nice walks alone steer and he's very deep. When I brought him home, we switched his feed from a 14% rolled barley, wet molasses feed to a 14% dry, soybeal meal based feed. He is eating all the feed and although we are feeding him about 4 lbs. less than what he was used to eating before, he looks a lot more deflated. Should I try feeding him beet pulp? Or should i wait till close to my first show? And if i should feed him beet pulp, how much should i feed him? hes eating 2 gallons (21 lbs.) right now. I would like him to be the best he can and he really has some nice depth, i dont want him to lose it due to my feeding. Thanks you guys!

When you went to fry feed, you cause guts to change the way they work. The dry feed takes up more space, and calf has to take in more water to chew it the second time, the beet pulp would help if wet, but stay g on dry feed is gonna take tome to get him Back to where you were.
