I realize he is a hereford... not that popular, but he is good. A neck better than most cross breds, more hair than half the breed, and a big butt and huge square top. !!!!NO CARPE DEIM!!!!! Purebred here. If you were buying him what would you pay? What is he worth? Thanks for any input... and please just because he is a hereford dont ignore!  ;D

What are you selling him as? Bull or steer? Personally, he looks a little leggy to me...might get a little tall. I don't breed Herefords, but don't the traditional markings include some white above the shoulders?

I'm not good at pricing, but that is a damn nice Hereford calf. I think he will make a nice fat steer

Here's the thing about this sight, you have everyone from the biggest club calf breeders to the kid who just showed a red ribbon steer he got from the sale barn at the county fair. So everyones opinion of what is good differs accordingly. IMO the calf is tight hearted and bold at the point of his shoulder. I also think his hip and tailhead sit kind of funny but it might just be the picture. Finally a bucket of water would do him a worlds of good. I wouldn't buy the calf off of this picture. That being said he is nice fronted so photograped and presented the right way could totally change his look. I would say he is worth taking the time to market as a show calf but what to price him at I wouldn't want to say off of that photo.
