I am just graduating high school and am seriously thinking about a career in livestock photograpy and designs. Not only do i want to take pictures I would also like to manage websites (like Ranch House Designs) and make fliers to promote upcoming bulls, etc. My question is, is this a career I can make a living off of? Thanks for you opinion

Here is a task that will help you figure out your answer.  You ask if you can make a living at your pursuits of a livestock photographer, website designer, etc..  Reverse engineer your problem.

How much do you need to make a living?

How much would you need to clear from each photo or website to make the amount?

OK, now double what you have estimated because you have not thought of half of what you will encounter as expenses and costs.

Please keep in mind the flux of your pursuits.  You may choose to go into promotion/marketing beyond what you have stated.  You may find an opportunity to market products other than services  Think of the competition, why would a customer choose you over someone else: better service, better product, less cost. Customers also think in these terms.  What is lacking from the current schemea? How will you merge into the market?  Think of the throughput or volume that will be required to meet your goals.  Will you have to hire employees.  That in itself is a whole new issue.

I don't want to discourage you, but you need to see the whole picture.  I have just scratched the surface. Good luck.  I wish I was 20 years younger and 20 years less experienced so I might also seriously consider the same.  This can be accomplished, but not without dedication and thought.
