Curious to hear everyone's opinions, which one is better & why?   The bull is a January 08 & the heifer is a March 08.  Both are fullblood Lowline Angus.  You can click on the pictures to enlarge.

I like the femininity in the heifer.  She looks really balanced and I like her.

Did you run out of paint on the bull?  I see white.

I like the heifer.  I think they are both excellent in their own right, but I love the heifer's femininity and volume.  I think that she has the makings of a great cow!

Yes, we had 16 head & we ran low/ran out out of black touch up... and had to make it stretch.  Actually, you couldn't really see the white in person, but the camera flash sure saw it.  I'll put it this way, I was a bit surprised when I saw the picture, because I've got action shots in the show ring that were taken with a different camera & you can't see any white, but this picture told on us.  ;)

Thanks to everyone who has voted/responded so far.  I own both animals (actually they were my only 2 fullblood calves that were old enough to take to the show) and I've got my own opinion, but I value other peoples opinions & I learn from them.  Also, there is a reason why I'm asking for opinions on these 2, so please keep them coming.  Thanks!

I like both. If I had to choose I chose the heifer. LIke her all around shape and design. Nice female TJ.
LIke the bull calf too. Figured he might be little finer made.

Justin you can smile.I know you have it in you. WHy is it that when some folks get their pictures taking they look like they just lost their best friend. You all should be happy ya just won!... ;)

Call me crazy but I like the bull better.. He seems more balanced to me and has more muscle expression..granted it could be hair but I don't think so.. I love the heifer too but I like the way the bull is put together.

Really like the depth of the heifer.  Looks like she'll have plenty of capacity.  I'd love to see a different pic of her without the 2 guys in black standing behind her.  I get lost when looking at her topline as it all blends in.

i think when you get down at the right angle the camera combined with the flash kind of shoots down to the roots and shows off the white touch up underneath but the fit jobs still look great.

I agree with you Shawn, but dang, after getting up super early and showing 16 head, I was dead. I think I like the heifer best too, but my sister likes the bull.  She spent a lot of time with the bull though, and they did some bonding lol.

Well, I like the heifer better, but I like this bull & I hope to have semen on him in a couple of months.  The heifer is a Doc Holliday & the bull is a Zeffirelli X Nardia (imported Australian embryo), so I'm glad that more people like the heifer!  I'm trying to make a decision about something and I think that I've about made up my mind.  I appreciate everyone's input!  Any other opinions?

Thanks!

In my opinion I like the bull best.  He looks like he could really mature into a bull that would really resemble your Doc Holiday bull.  I really like his power that he has.  I do think he could stand on a little more bone and have a little longer loin in him, but he does have enoughh length and bone to make him really good.  I really like the heifer to.  I don't think she has as much muscle though is why I don't like her as much.  But she is really good also.  I am also curious to what these two weigh.

i like the bull better, looks to be looser made, even with less leather.

take that lead rope and throw it behind you instead of in the foreground and hide it with your leg.
