I have been keeping back some heifers and have 2 beautiful Jewel/ali heifers to keep this year and am putting in 5 maine embryos this month to hopefully raise some more maine replacements... well that means I am going to have to sell some cows... These have calves on them now and I am planning to AI them this month to Dr Who and probably ring of fire... do you think there will be much of a demand later this summer for those pairs with pregnant moms?

Would it not be smarter money wise not to bred them and just sell them now and not have to go through the cost and work of AI'ing them along with the cost of feeding them till then? I don't imagine a bred pair bringing much more then an open pair a this point as there is still time to get them bred for a spring calf?
