I have two heifers that I will be selling. Need opinions please. First heifer is a My Turn heifer out of a solid Angus cow, born Feb 09. She very deep sided, soft made, and smooth shouldered. We AI'd her in May and July but she did not stick. Next heifer is a Hannibal heifer from a cross bred Chi/Maine/Angus cow, born April 09. She has a long, clean front and a freaky long spine. Not a powerful made heifer but she brings a lot to the table. We also AI'd her in May and July but she did not stick.
I run a small operation and don't have room to hold these heifers until next year. I am going to take them to our local stock yards unless someone has an interest in either of them. I have no idea what a good open heifer should be worth, which makes thing I'm better off taking them straight to the stock yards.
Any thoughts??
