I would recommend Weigels Steer Pit , Diamond K / Finley Angus, Adam White  all located in SW Wisconsin. Weigels sold a really good Angus steer last year that went to Ohio and won several shows.  Adam has sold them in the past that have won all over and Roger and Sue have the cows that raise them!

Good Luck !  Carre

There will be several good Angus steers at the J&L Show Calves sale in Wellsburg, IA.  attached flyer.  Best one is a Blackout .  Stout boned, extremely this and flashy for an pb angus.  Consigners had Champ Angus steer in MO and IA state fairs last year.

I have a March Northern Improvement steer out of a first calf heifer that is sired by G13 steel and her dam was the ROV show heifer of the year.  Won darn near everything she went to.  We are going to wean Wednesday and I will start cleaning them up and get some pictures.

ITBA - I would sure like to see a picture of that steer and dam. I haven't seen many G13 Steel prodigy. And I think the NI combo is interesting.

Oops, I said steer but I haven't cut him yet, was toying with leaving him a bull and he still is, not bully looking yet!  The G13 heifer is doing an awesome job with her calf, couldn't be happier with her.  We have her bred to carneyman for a february calf, have our fingers crossed for a heifer!  My cousin owned her and a Friction heifer out of About Time's dam and my daughter showed them last year.  We were supposed to get the first calves out of them but went ahead and bought both of the heifers!  We will have pics in the next couple of weeks after they get over being weaned and we can clip them and make them a little more presentable!

I have one that can be registered he is out of a Stepladder Vegas bull that goes back to Connealy Dateline and Sitz Alliance 6595. His dam is a MCC Plowman 018 x paws up 8040 Executive. He is very straight and correct and he is pretty much halter broke. His birthdate is Feb 28th 09. He is very thick and I will try to post a picture of him at 3 months of age. He has been eating grain and is very gentle.

We have a good selection of registered Angus steers that are half brothers to the Champion Lightweight @ Ft. Worth this year. Reasonable and GOOD! Christian Cattle Co. , Hico, Tx. 254-597-7121. Great cattle with more butt, bone, top, depth, and cool fronted! Most out of our COACH bull whose mother was a division champion for the Lastavica family in 2001 and whose sister was 2005 Grand Champ @ Ft. Worth.

If you are serious about wanting a great Angus steer I would get a hold of Joel Brooks, he is producing the best Angus club calves out there. I personally have some damn good Angus steers this year but you would have to travel to Eastern Indiana to see them. Joel would be closer that's why I recommend him.
