My son brushes his steers hair twice a day on the weekdays but on the weekends he will go out 3 or 4 times and brush him. He rinses him twice a day and conditions him everyday. He only uses shampoo on him once a week. We buy all of our supplies from Sullivan's supply. The shampoo he uses is clear choice and the conditioner is kleen sheen. He always blows all of the dirt out of him before he combs him. And he keeps a fan on him a lot also. Hope this helps you some
