Hi i am new here, Just need some advice.I have a shorthorn bull,  DMH DUKE OF PEARL.His back legs are crazy looking  .Could it be ds  ? When i bought him at 14 months old he seemed fine. The breeder says he was not tested. He was used on sim/angus cows for 2018 . Though horns have appeared in my herd. So could be some Hereford in cows way back. Well any way black cows with a bit of white mostly on bags. I had one calf born with odd pasterns . I will add pics

A few years back I had a Jazz son. Anything that was a DSC and PHC had deformities to their feet and legs. Some worse than others. PHC cow which we didn't know was positive, had the worst of them all. In my discussions with some of the people who test for defects. PH and DS are close enough to precipitate defects. You can have all your shorthorns tested. Up to you. I lost 3 calves one season that just could not get around because of DS issues. Those pics certainly do look like DS.
