All horses have homes.!!! (clapping)...Don't call the phone number.  You will get a very tired women who doesn't want another phone call.  There must have been a great turnout for free Thoroughbred horses.

A Legend in his own mind I think.  LOL ;-), and yes, I'm sure its ALOT colder here than where you are.  I believe its 16 degrees now, with a high of 23 hopefully.  Just had our 2nd calf for the year.  Yeah!!  How have you been doing?  Ready for Denver?, or aren't they going to take you again?
BTW:  Don't you hang out as another as well?

The Big Show / Re: Getting a simmy steer registered?
« on: December 30, 2010, 09:50:38 PM »
It is cheaper if you have a junior member that you can register the calf through.  Junior memberships are less expensive.  My daughter has most of the herd in her name.

The Big Show / Re: Waterer Keeps Freezing
« on: December 18, 2010, 10:18:01 PM »
Have you tryed moving the heat tape up over the valve?  Our heat tapes are started at the top going up and over the valve, then let it drop down into the heat tube or culvert using plastic ties to keep it next to the valve and the upcoming water line. Don't use a bulb to heat, as the heat from it causes the thermostat in the tape and the drop in heater to shut off and not turn the heaters on.   I have also seen the bulb burn a hole in the poly tank. I would think that a propane heater would do the same thing in melting the poly.  I agree with Okotoks, that usually pouring a gallon of hot water over the valve will free it up.  We also use the 500 Watt drop in heater vs. the 250 Watt one.  Hope these ideas help and good luck!

Actually Express doesn't own the bull.  He was bred by Rafter S Angus in Wellston, OK, and is co-owned with Teets Farms in Lost River WV and Mountain Top Farm in Midland MD...however, don't know how much semen is left, as he died a couple of years ago.  I only have 5 straws left.  I would try Rafter S first!

A really nice set of heifers, breds, and steers selling tomorrow evening in this sale.  You won't be disappointed.  Something for everyone.

Full sib to the 2010 American Royal Grand Champion Angus Heifer in the Junior Show will sell in the sale on Friday!
