"The Good Old Boys" staring Tommy Lee Jones and Sissy Spacek. Every man alive needs a sister-in-law like Tommy Lee had in this movie!

"I'm Just A Country Boy" by Don Williams.

"Tie A Heart To A Tumbleweed" by Terri Clark.

Stumpy, you get 1st prize.

Dusty, your a close 2cnd. But have (all) your brothers ready in case the first misses.

TJ, don't be too funny! We just might get caught up in the Rapture, boots on, tippin' our Stetson with one hand, and holdin' the hand of our little girl with the other. Terry, it'd be cool if that happened off the back of a horse.

I have a problem when people pick and choose certain verses of the bible to quote and then use those verses as the reasons they do the things that they do.

I think the bible is to be interpreted as whole and then go from there.  There are a lot contradictory statements in the bible.

I think instead of contradictory, you ment paradox! Please look it up! ! !

The Big Show / Re: Is there a prejudice for "fluffy" women? N/C

Hey now! There's lots of difference between ugly and fluffy.

I've always said, "I'm not interested in a woman that can't saddle her own horse". That pretty much eliminates the scronie ones. But I've seen some pretty big girls that could still ride really fine.  (clapping)

Now Red you don't count, your already grandfathered (grandmothered) into the cowgirl hall of fame!

As I see it, women are their own worst critics. By in large men are happy with any look within reason. I agree whole heartedly with SD. When it comes to hands on, fluff is funner!  <cowboy>

Sorry Red! Still friends? ? ?

Did you guys ever consider this whole thing could be one big eternal science project for God? I had those thoughts a lot when I was a child. Sometimes "child-like" Faith is the only answer.

The key to the whole thing is "OMNIPOTENCE"! That concept can't be grasped, but can be accepted!

The Big Show / Re: Would you fudge on age?

We took a bull calf to Loisville a couple years ago (just for fun), the main reason was to get him back East. The Knight boys decided to drag him in the ring (against my better judgment), but what the heck. Last place, of course, but the judge did spend an incredible amount of time looking him over. The point I want make is; there were calves in that class that, if you did the math on their numbers, that had over 5 lb. WDA since birth. Am I the only one that observes these things?

I'm afraid some guys balance the numbers before they even look at the calves. Just look at the auctions on RFD, infinite bulls through the ring with perfect numbers. Thar's what I watch when I want to take'o nap.

Red, you forgot a box to check for: Who's way past looking at numbers?  ;D

CNDCowboy, you get a karma from me! 8-10% calf to cow is "spot" on. Also remember 50% at 205 days.

OakBar, one for you too! I've lost a lot of customers for being honest. No more numbers from me, they don't believe me anyway. 90% of "people who have cattle", not cattlemen, should NEVER use a bull, for any reason, that hasn't sired at least a hundred calves, that they've seen. Either you believe in my program, or drive on down the road. Most years I don't keep back even ONE bull. And if I do keep one, it's for potential in herd use.

Me look'in at someone else's numbers is a waste of my time!

The Big Show / Re: I'm about ready to give away a calving ease bull!

I wish I knew!

Finally got to assist last night. The youngest of the group (20 months) went into labor about midnight, and at 4 AM I decided I wanted to go to bed, so I dusted off the ole' Dr. Franks. By 8 AM he (calf) had been up and nursed. He looks huge standing beside his momma, but still weighs less than 80. How much does a cows birthing (calf size) change with age? I say, all things considered, little, if any!

ELBEE Influence 521R 4098614. Best bull for heifers we've had here since Gizmo's sire. Yes we do have semen on him.

My question will be; could we get John Calvin and Jacob Arminius in the same room with Paul, and have Jesus moderate a debate!? Oh! and I'd like to have John the Baptist be bailiff.

All things are in place for the RAPTURE, more to come before the SECOND COMING!

I wonder how the secular world will explain the Rapture?

Last night I checked the heifers, then went to a meeting. I was back within 2 hours, found a heifer trying to mother a dead calf. No sign of stress on cow or calf, except calf's head was turned under it's shoulder. This is the third (first calf) calf I've lost by similar reasons this year. Some that I have witnessed birthing, have gone from "first sign" to calf nursing in a half hour. I've never had a group of heifers so speedy. Sometimes I think a little more trouble translates into better percentages. If I didn't know better I'd swear they're crossed up with horses. Maybe  <cowboy>  Red  <cowboy>  could start a birthing class for first time mothers (heifers).

Iowa, if your out there, these are 21R calves!

"I can see clearly now, the pain is gone. Gonna' be a bright, bright sun-shinny day." That's not Biblical, but I'm sure look'in forward to it. The fact is one day ALL will believe. What will be the status of your Soul on that day? ? ? satan, lucifer, devil, demon, be-eselbub, what ever you call the prince of darkness, is the biggest believer of all!
