I'd breed up your truly better cows and put embryos in the more common ones.
This is to me is the most economical idea. Save your best momma's and produce half blood solid patterned bulls. I think many of the commercial producers (I know) don't care a whole lot about papers. They care more about performance. That's just my opinion. You can purchase eggs of genetics you want to breed for and jump light years ahead with embryos-On a couple of your good mothers as recips.

After seeing her picture you should be fine with Monopoly, Unstoppable, MAB( might be just moderate calf) just a few. I have not been happy with the rear leg set on some of the females that Fu Man Chu has made. They do'nt seem as sound as the Monopoly's. THe Unstoppbale's have been soft made easy feeding type cattle. MAB cattle have just been massive. Your cow has an extended front one third and clean through her shoulders to work with MAB. Just my opinion.

I have a march 2015 calf and he is an Unstoppable and monopoly calf anyway we live in WI and they live outside. He weighs around 800 pounds should I try starting to get him wider through the back or wait. Our fair is August. This is our first true clubby calf so I am learning a lot. Thank You for thoughts and any other suggestions
Clarify your "wide in the back" Wider top? Stand wider? Wider butt?

Good deal. He looks like a good solid calf.

Are you wanting a plus calf? Are you wanting a purebred calf? It seems interesting with the purebred Simmi you had structurally sound calf. The dam side of your cow are some pretty good lines. Which Storm Chaser? There are a couple. One more clubby. Paddy clubby, Eye Candy Clubby. what kind of calf do you want first. I like the cow. She has alot of good things about her. Definitely think she is feminine and angular in her design. If you are going purebred- ultra masculine bulls crossed with ultra feminine cows make for good calves. If you follow that research if you follow Gerald Fry bovine research. linear measurement allows you to breed cattle to meet your form and function.

Have you had his feet done recently? If you have two weeks, I would have someone take a look at them. He looks good. Your son has done a good job feeding. Good luck!

Sin CIty is the clean version of Vegas. Sin City when bred to smaller made cows does have some birth weight. When he came out I talked to Brad H about his birth weights. We had the big one's. the calves were taller made, hairy and had some bone. Watch the female you use him on BW. Sullivan's used Vegas to make all those plus females. When you use him on taller flatter made cows, it seems he follows the cows and you will get rangey flatter made cattle.
