Count me in as a donor and a buyer if a fundraiser is held. Just let me know when and where.

Why, yes, I did grow up in a barn; thank you for asking.

Prayers to you Terry in your recovery, such a great man with a huge heart. Gave me lots of great advice years ago, have not been on in about a year and was just looking around and seen this post, sorry to hear about this, get better Terry!

What's the latest on Terry? Any update on how he's doing?

He texted me the other day, said my old cow was in heat and he was gonna set her up.  He's still got some recovering to do.  But I'm here to tell ya, that ol boy is the definition of a cowboy that's tough as nails.

I've been off of the grid for awhile and this is the first time I've had a chance to get on here. Terry is recuperating slowly as you would expect. Yes he is a tough old bugger, but here is the rest of the story. The majority of the donors that he had left within days of his being hurt and have not returned. The "ranch manager" that runs the place he is living on is threatening to throw him and his family off the ranch even though his family has stepped up and taken care of most of the day to day work that Terry would normally be doing as part of his rent agreement. The Readers Digest version of this story is that Terry and his family need help to survive. He is far too proud to ask anyone for help and I'm sure that I will get a good sized piece of my hind side chewed off for this. So here I am asking the multitude of Steer Planet families to help one who has helped so many over the years. If Jason could come up with some sort of a fundraising Steer Planet "auction" that would be a huge bonus. So, I encourage you to start thinking about what you could donate, especially those of us who Terry has helped over the years. Let's get the ball rolling! RW

Sounds like a plan Jason. I'll be on the road most of the upcoming week but will have a lap top with me and check on things in the evenings. RW

I saw him last week when I picked up a donor from him.  The accident was tough on him (it would have been tough for anyone).  He is moving slower and not able to lift much with that bad shoulder.  He can still do the things he loves to do (AI, flush cows) but with more help and time to do so.  He worked wonders with my donor, he got to know her and they worked well together. He flushed her 10x over the years.  He could use more cows in his donor pen, not too many in there.  Spread the word to anyone thinking about flushing a cow to contact him.   I think the accident scared away some folks from using him, but shouldn't have.
