All new I am Angus air tonight - Monday, Nov 22

Another all new I am Angus will be airing on Monday, November 22nd on RFD-TV at 7 CST.

The show will tell agriculture's story and the hopefully spread a positive message about our livelihoods and the food we raise. The following people will be featured in the show.

Blanford and Joan Pierce, Woodlawn Farms, Creston, Iowa

Does it make some of you wonder how angus got so big?  Yeah, TJ, we agree....they look like lowlines to us too.

They discovered some "outcross" genetics.    ;) 


Yeah, TJ, we agree....they look like lowlines to us too. 

Hard to tell, but they may even be slightly smaller than some of mine, but you can certainly see the resemblance.

This isn't the exact same sire/s, but this is what we used to use to make ours bigger.  We only had commercial Angus... nothing papered, except for a few Chi's.  Ironic that I now am doing the exact opposite about 30 years later, only I don't have anything nearly that big... not even close.  BTW, imagine mating that big critter to a Lowline cow... we actually used to do something very, very similar to that.  Had 1 bull (Smitty) that some of my Lowline cows could maybe have walked under.  (thumbsup)
