Baby Calf ear muffs

Zero degrees here a couple nights ago and we had a new one....wishing I had some of those ear muffs/warmers for baby calves....

Anyone used them?

Work ok?

thick socks and a little duct tape accually sounds like a decent idea

or i was lookin around and saw these for about $20

they work..i use them just about every year...you just have to keep checking to make sure they are still on at first...ive had some mommas that would start licking on the calves and get them off...others dont even pay attention....

From experience: A good momma cow can get those ear muffs off in seconds.  Duck tape is awful hard to remove without pulling a bunch of hair.
My solution: Go to a fabric store and buy two feet of sweat shirt material or fleece type material. Sew it into a loop (Make like a neck kooze type of thing)  Then in cold weather pull it over the head to push the ears flat against the head. Adjust size with safety pins.  Works great and cheap, even though a good momma cow can still remove, but a bit tougher than the ear muffs.

i agree i use a couple wraps of duct tape and tape the ears to the neck have never pulled any hair of or at least not enough to concerne me that hair will grow back what little comes off those ears wont

nylon stockings (Mrs Butterworth has some) pull over head and pull ears back and down - add a bit of duct tape - calf looks like a criminal but ears don't freeze
