Barn Camera
« on: January 11, 2018, 12:11:18 PM »
Wanting to install a barn camera that I can view from my phone while I am traveling. I know that there are a lot of different cameras out there. Can someone give me some input on what brand to go with or what they think works best in their barns.  Pros/Cons.

I was going to use a mobile 4G Samsung hot spot that I already have to get WiFi. Would that work for what I am wanting to do.

Will this camera work out in the barn where there is no heat during winter months for calving. Also wanting to use it in our inside cooler room during the summer months. My concern is with the enclosed cooler room will the camera have enough signal from a mobile Samsung hot spot to send signal out of barn. Seems like when you have a tin building sometimes you struggle to get signal. Thanks for your help

Yes, it held up to cold temps just fine. I was pretty surprised how rugged the foscam was .

I really like the foscam and amscrest cameras.  Easy to setup.
